A few weeks ago I was a runnner up in the BBC’s reboot competition to redesign their home page. My prize was an iPod nano which I recieved from White City last week. But I’m happy with my shuffle, and since I recently celebrated my new found employment by buying my friends 30gb iPods, I thought one of you might like it. Not to devalue the prize the BBC gave me, its frieken awesome, I just thought someone would probably get better use out of it then me.
So, if a brand new 4gb iPod nano sounds good, leave a comment on this post and I’ll randomly pick someone on **Tuesday the 15th**.
One comment per person, and make sure you use a real email address. Anyone in the world can enter, and just realise your comment may need moderation before it appears.
Update: Lilian from Sydney won! Thanks to everyone who entered and should I find anything else cool to give away you’ll all be the first to know.

Don’t give it away! Try and do what that guy did in Canada, he started with a red paper clip and eventually got a house by trading. See if you can trade it and then work up to trading for a house or something, could be alot more fun hehe just a thought…
Hey guys! Great idea π
Just out of interest, do you have digital tv cause all the video is soooo clear?
Not entering, because my mum would literally kill me for doing something like this over the internet, but wow! That is so cool. Congratulations on your design.
I love coming to your site, and seeing all the commercials. Especially the SBS ones that i don’t see too often. Thank you for sharing! Just wanted to know though, if it would be possible for you to put things into mpg format?
Awesome site. Keep it coming, and i’ll definitely keep watching.

Hi π
I’ll put my hand up ..
Congratulations on your efforts, John…
If I am lucky enough to be chosen for this iPod, I am willing to donate it/it’s value to the charity of popular choice.
If I am not lucky enough to win the iPod, I invite the person who does win it to donate it to the charity of popular choice…
Let’s do it… Spread the love.
Ha ha wow, you’re the most generous person I know!
Thought I’d give it a shot.
*slips you five dollars*
Thanks for all the clips. Especially the news clips from the Australian networks, and with the lack of updates on UK presentation websites recently, idents.tv has been the only place to get clips from various bits and bobs on UK telly, and in brilliant quality too.
Obvious enough? Heh. I was going to enter the BBC reboot competition myself, but I could not think of *anything* innovative, it would have just been a redesign of the page, nothing new in terms of content or clever Web 2.0 type ideas.
I didn’t knew there were so many readers in your blog and even write so much in about 2 days…
Sure why not if not too late.
Funny how people who never leave comments on this site are suddenly posting π I’m always on here downloading any dial-up friendly video’s, and living in Canberra, there’s not much going on here, at least according to Sydney, so I just watch Prime, and that shoddy Win news and check out this site, i’m not gonna say me me me, even though I just did, but you know what I mean, but an i-pod nano would be cool, anyway I guess I should get back to my school work, ha ha, yeah right!
Me too. No, really. Anyway, 60 comments? WTF? I’ve never had an iPod, are they that good?
my iPod shuffle is full!
wait a minute… ipod nano!
me, me, i was here first!
I wont say pic me coz this is picked at random but good luck for me π
Btw awesome blog!
Ahhh, I just would have sold it on eBay. To quote the simpsons “You know how I feel about giving!”
Ive always visited your site for a lil while now every week. I have a interest in TV idents and other content π Oh well, Good luck to everyone lol
lol! Look at all these suck ups! Don’t pick me, by the way, I already have one (2Gb alas!)!
I’d never say no to a Nano! π
You’re crazy! But, I wouldn’t say no. π
Love your work mate!
Wow you really are a generous person, giving your friends 30GB iPods and now giving away a Nano, you’re a top bloke, and you live in Canberra too. Anwyay, aside from all that, I’m really glad I have found this site, I’m happy to know that I’m not the only one out there who is interested in TV idents and the media in genereal. Well done on the increasing success of your website.

Looks like theres a fair few people after a podded eye on here, took me nearly 10seconds to scroll to the leave a reply box. Looks like I’ve just added another 0.5 seconds of scrolling time with this.
Can I have an iPod please sir…
Come on… the value of the iPod for charity. I say a charity gets the ipod.
In the words of Miss Veruca Salt:
“Daddy I want one!”
I just found out about this contest, hope I win.
Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD XD
I’d really really want one, it’d be awesome if I was chosen… Piiiiick meeeEE!! π
Okay >_> I’ll shut up now…
…
Pick me… >_>
Like the Chaser vids by the way π
Wow, 75 comments, thats a record for ya… >_>
Well, I’m up for a chance of winning it but if I don’t, it’s no biggie π – Good luck to one and all and may you all have peaceful, prosperous and happy lives.
Buying your friends a 30Gb pods? I MUST make sure none of my friends can see your story. Cuz i just got a cool new job too. otherwise everyone will want one and all i have to give is the prize you won that you MAY or MAY NOT end up giving me. See? its all random-chance-dependent.
WEEEE!!!
*waves one arm in the air with other hand propping it up*
Does the runner up get the meat tray? I’m good, either way.
Cheers!
Boyaa!!
Well, it’s amazing what the offer of a single ipod can do for a website. Let me try that out sometime to boost my traffic π
I’m already the proud owner of a Nano, and i’d be more than happy to auction the thing off and give the proceeds to a charity (And i’m not talking about The Human Fund either).
Ooo! As if I need more reason to visit your site π
Why can’t station idents in the US be as awesome as those around the world?
I really want to be able to give my little sister something nice for her birthday soon and I don’t have much cash at the moment, so a nano would be amazing to give her π
James
Thanks for the site updated – it’s a good way of keeping in touch with what’s going on back home while I’m over here in Blighty. I’m normally a lurker/anonymous downloader but who can resist replying to a post like this! Cheers, Glen
I like your blog and I would like your iPod.
I always thought that the winning entry was totally bollocks, but a well-deserved win. But I might-as-well put my, erm, e-hand up; I’m considering getting a MacBook, anyway, so an iPod can’t hurt. π
But, as I never win anything, congratulations in advance to the winner! May he or she enjoy that iPod as much as… erm, well, I’m kinda stuck here, so may he or she enjoy it.
hmm… 4000MB.
Geez many people like that idea.
I wonder if you’re going to p-p-p-powerbook me!
Your generosity astounds me.
Well, I won’t grovel as it says someone will be randomly picked. So even if I just said ‘sgfiofadpijfiadf;jgbpdaifuvoagbfdk;jbgdifahgvbadfg’ I would still be eligible.
Anyway great site, and good on you for deciding to give it away.
Spent a while trying to come up with the perfect suck-up comment, but it hasn’t been working so far. Would love to win the prize, love to listen to a few tunes. Fingers crossed times a thousand, thanks for being so generous.
Please!!
an ipod is fine too. π
my old walkman has worn out (as just about everything else does) and i’ve been saving for an iPod and even though my chances are about a million to one I thought it should try anyway.
Pick me! Pick me! I have never won anything or owned an MP3 player! Me!
Well, I have to say you’re satisfying a lot of people here, giving out all these high-quality videos! I’ll put my name in the hat for that Nano, too.
Ooohh! How about me!?
Hey. love your site. Really helps me get up-to-date on the Chaser’s latest shenanigans!
I recently bought a cheap MP3 player, but returned it one day later cause I needed the money more than I needed the player. It would be great if I could score the Nano off you!
Keep up the good work and I congratulate the winner of the Nano, whoever it may be!
That looks real nice, you’ve got the true essence of Web 2.0 in that design, kinda looks like a BBC version of Microsoft’s new Live.com!
Me.
thanks.
