Thanks! Anyone watching TT on thursday night? The story about surveillance cameras was by Clare Brady! She must have left 7news for TT. She was always a little bit on the alarmist side I must admit but she did a good tt story. Most of it was filmed at or around the Docklands 7 centre. The part where she was talking to camera and had that guy take her handbag was at the entrance to the broadcast cafe. 7news was thoroughly beaten by NNN again last night in Melb.

I thought as much. Yeah 7news and tt lost again here last night. At the end Jen said Rebecca Maddern will be with you over the weekend. I caught an update yesterday at 3pm, was presented by Nick Etchells.
Nick Etchells will be back in the United States over summer as (and i regret to say this) Mike Amor will be back hosting various news bulletins, i.e 11.30am and 4.30pm and uplate updates etc over the summer non-ratings period

Thinks are a bit out of whack across the nation at the moment. Sydney has had its largest gaps in …well ever and won three nights with more then 45,000 viewer gap, while lossing two nights (mon-fri), by up to 20,000 viewers? bit strange really. Brisbanes gaps are smaller atm too?
The gaps this week in Melb have been getting bigger too. Hopefully Bec’s 7news will be as strong as last sunday. It did have a footy lead in which will help no end. Jo Hall’s NNN only had Postcards.

Well its WIN! i rest my case. There so poor and people talk about there news not being widescreen, well its doesn ‘t even fill a normal sized screen. They have a massive black boarder around the screen and i feel as though i could make a better news bulletin in my bedroom using a web cam. CRAP!!! Thats what WIN are ..CRAP!!!!

hopefully 7news melb will return to #1 when Peter gets back next week. The 4.30 news, at least, has picked up the new slides from the melb newsroom, tho they r slightly diff on things like stocks etc

Yeah I thought she did a terribly good job, proving she is a real asset to 7. Samantha Armytage is only an ok interviewer, she can get a bit muddled and confusing. When Bec hosted out of melb there was usually at least 1 live cross or studio interview a day with non reporters and bec always did a stellar job.
At the end of tonight’s news Rebecca said Peter Mitchell will be back with us tomorrow. I will miss Bec on weekends. She’s great.
2 weeks till i get to see mitch present 7news in melboune, looking forward to that. Jennifer Keyte presented the news on sunrise today.She’ll be filling in for Nat, who’s filling in for Mel, whos on leave. And another thing, I’ve been watching The Morning Show a lot recently, coz theres school holidays in Adelaide till today, and it’s honestly not THAT good and i’ve gone back to watchin KAK

Maybe she doesn’t care for early starts! I think 10.30 is the earliest we have ever seen her! Since Peter Mitchell and Sandy Roberts have returned (David Brown still absent) 7news has sky-rocketed back to number 1 in melb and has brought tt with it!
Yeah i noticed that too, strange how ppl on weekdays didn’t take as well to Jen as they do on weekends! What do you guys think of Jessica Rowe moving into seven Sydney, there tipping her as the new 4.30 news host?? and maybe 6pm when ian leaves, but i think thats a load of shit. Samantha Armytage did her first report is ages news report in ages today!!! Maybe they are getting her ready for the shidt back to reporting, with only weekend sunrise presenting to make way for jess?

I caught the 2 and 3pm 7news updates…Karen O’Sullivan presented. I can only imagine the spread 7news will throw on for us in Melb tonight since Premier Steve Bracks and Deputy Premier John Thwaites have both quit today. I liked bracks…voted for him…he was VIC’s best premier and probably the best in Aus

Well the 6pm 7news here had a special backdrop behind Peter and they spent 12minutes covering the resignation of Bracks and Thwaites. It was a great.

We had Bec on again over the weekend. Just a comparison to illustrate how bad NNN is here. Tonight both 7news and NNN have been running promos about their respective special reports on monday’s 6pm news. 7’s is by Mia Greves about the housing price crush in melb. NNN’s is about how to find a fella.

Another bloody strong night for 7new is melbourne last night, with Bec at the helm. It rated number one with 554,000 to NNN’s in melb 396! In syd it was NNN 501 to 7news 347!
David Brown was back tonight, from a holiday in Germany apparently. Peter also had a live cross to John Brumby, our new premier.
NNN Sydney are back using Mark as host on sundays, thats why those ratings have climbed.
on average in adelaide 7news gets 170000-200000 a night , in comparison to NNNs 145000-185000
Weekends for seven are a very different story in Adelaide as are they for Sydney. They normally always wim mon-fri, but get beaten on weekends.

Well, im back from Melbourne. That place is huge.It’s no wonder nick lives close.Anyway, my vote is in. While I didnt get a chance to see any buletin in full, i saw all updates including ABC s wih ian henderson. In second place , 10news at 5 with Mal Walden and Helen Kapalos. In 1st place…………….7news with Peter Mitchell. Whilst i only saw an update of 7 and 9, it was enough to prove to me that mitch is an undisputed king of melbourne TV news, while hitch and NNN suck balls. But when i watched sunrise , it was rather weird to see melbournes local news instead of adelaides one. After that i watched TMS, which actually had some good storys.If TMS keeps this up, I migft just go back to watching TMS over KAK. Also a very big farewell to stuart. It looks likeits only me and Nick left!

Adelaide’s TT presenter, Leigh Mc Lusky is going on maternity leave, but unlike the previos 2 maternity leaves, unfortunatley she will not be returning. She will be replaced on-air by summer fill-in, Rosanna Mangiarelli. Leigh was the only remaining original TT presenter. I hope they give her the same farewell/tribute that Naomi got. Her last episode is tonight.
