I’ve just finished catching up on the last two episodes of The Chaser’s War on Everything, and thought this was really well done. Its just a mock directors commentary to one of the new ABC idents, its kind of similar to what Dead Ringers do in between sketches with BBC idents, but still cool, and its nice to know that we are not the only people who notice when idents change.

The Chaser’s War on Everything did their second Famous Face Off this week, and in my home town of all places. The first one was Morecroft vs Tynan in an autocue read-off, this week though its National’s Senator Barnaby Joyce vs Family First Senator Steve Fielding in a soccer block-off on issues of gay marriage, tax cuts and the sale of Telstra.

Triple J’s Hack current affairs program did a story this week about how Australian’s are now the biggest downloaders of TV in the world. And who can blame us?
With Ten, Nine and Seven too busy protecting their ad revenue to offer downloads I think ABC has the perfect opportunity to step up and offer video downloads. I wouldn’t mind them charging us for it through iTunes, or just video podcasting them for free. Either way, to get the ball rolling.. last nights entire episode of The Chaser’s War on Everything.
