NSW Police express “disgust” over Chaser prank

It appears Chas has been charged with offensive conduct after turning up at last nights Bulldogs match with flares, a fake knife and imitation knuckle duster as part of a segment for the Chaser’s War. For more read this.

In true Bulldogs style though Chas wasn’t the only one charged that night with one man set to face court for offensive language and three kicked out for alcohol related offences.

This weeks lesson: neigbours from hell

Hypocracy and hyperbole, another hilarious attack on A Current Affair and Today Tonight. If you didn’t see it, download! The At The Movies bit is probably one of the funniest things I’ve seen on the Chaser to date.

First they deconstructed the new ABC idents with their directors commentary now they’re putting their own spin on consumer advice.

So that would make this weeks episode an M15+ with L S E FO U and PM.

Tonight’s Chaser: Chris Taylor on ABC Canberra

Every Friday morning I used to hear my mother of all people tell me about what was going to be on tonights episode of the Chaser’s War. It turns out she was getting all her information from Chris Taylor who’s been talking to Ross Solly on ABC local radio once a week since the show started. (Although Rod Quinn is filling in this week).

Cutting out the middleman (my mum), above is this mornings interview recorded at 7.15am. And don’t forget the Chaser is on tonight at the earlybird timeslot of 9:40pm (compared to the usual 10:15pm).

Also Chris and Craig return to triple j starting this Sunday afternoon for four weeks in a new show, Bloody Sunday.

Communications Minister Helen Coonan today unveiled her media reform plan. Its not all good, and its going to be far from quick, but the one good thing that might come out of it is multichanneling, albeit in 4-5 years. The video is ABC’s coverage of todays announcement.

I love triple j, its an incredible radio station, it has great talent, plays great music and was the former workplace of Chris and Craig from the Chaser. And now its becoming a line up of shows across ABC and ABC2. The shows will include:

> jtv (friday nights before rage)
“What does triple j look like? Get into the studio and watch interviews and songs performed live by bands. You’ll see profiles on your fav presenters – Jay & The Doctor, Robbie Buck, Myf Warhurst, Zan Rowe, Andrew Haug, Scott Dooley, Caroline Tran, Mel Bampton and Richard Kingsmill. Fridays will also include a Hack segment with Steve Cannane.”

> jtv saturday (9am-11am saturdays)
“Rosie Beaton counts down the top 20 most popular triple j songs of the week, as requested by you guys on Super Request. jtv saturday will also play special video requests, new releases and highlights from the Friday night show.”

> jtv XL (9pm tuesday on ABC2)
“It’s a bumper edition of jtv! Tune in for extended versions of jtv interviews, live music, concerts, docos, short films and animations.”

Along with jtv live, jtv docs and jtv comedy, and the pre-existing jmag its quite the brand extension. I’m sure my age has something to do with it, but I have such a connection with the radio station, I get almost all of my music from it, I get most of my current affairs from Hack, and my ringtone is their news theme. I’m really looking to forward to this.

The BBC started running brand promos back in March, they’re created by Fallon I believe. The first video here is about their golf coverage, and the second is about Radio 1.

The earlier ones I think are better, check out the Liberation of Kabul, Ricky Gervais and Iraqi Cameraman.
