Thanks to Libbie from Sixty40 for sending me their latest creation, the new look, new location Comedy Channel idents.
While the relocation of a channels headquarters usually isn’t that newsworthy, this series of on-air identities has taken Comedy’s move from Sydney to Melbourne to heart. They show the network mascot (the c’fer?) exploring its new home, surrounded by the omnipresent plug for some pretty funny shows (anyone else as engulfed in Arrested Development as me?).

Arrested Dev is the best thing to walk thru my front door since sliced bread! I have all three seasons on DVD and could not be more indebted to 7 for introducing me to it! Tho appox on the FOX network for cancelling it and to the American people for not watching (above the heads of the majority i feel). It is nice to see a media outlet moving to Melb not away. Comedy channel have taken over the now defunct Fox Footy Channel’s building in South Yarra I believe, somewhere near Channel Ten’s Como Centre.
P.S. SCREW YOU ALL FOR NOT VOTING FOR NAOMI ON DANCING! Yet David is still there, he isn’t a celebrity and he certainly cannot dance with no personality and a Tim Bailey style leather face (those familiar with ten news sydney will know what i mean)(and no it isn’t cos he is gay!). Sure Naomi wasn’t the best but she was improving.
Seven shouldn’t get away that easily, Nick…they did fling Arrested Development around the schedules rather violently!
As for The Comedy Channel’s move, I see Melbourne as more of a comedy home than Sydney, the MICF and all. (And I’m from Melbourne’s sworn enemy, Adelaide, so at least you can’t say I’m biased in this opinion.)
It’s also great to see you’re developing a good relationship with the ident makers, John! This should see some good videos in the future.
And Naomi Klein was on Dancing With The Stars?
I thought I was the only human being in the world who liked Arrested Development ;_; good thing to know I’m not alone in the universe ^^
I would have liked to have watched it but BBC2 had it changing time slots every single week. I just don’t understand the point in buying a programme with no intention of airing it correctly.
Arrested had a fairly stable time slot as I recall. The first summer it was on it was like 10.30pm every tues and thurs. Then when it returned it was 11.30pm mondays after boston legal.
Nope, you aren’t, Melissa.
They don’t, but we do.
