is that from wikipedia stuart?
Well I am wrong, but clearly so is 7. GIVE IT BACK TO BEC
yeah its from Wikipedia, and accept that all national bulletins are coming live from SEVEN news central in Sydney now Nick ! not melbourne
why should the rest of the country accept the sydney cetric ways of the media? it is wrong. And it does not even make good business sense to base everything in syd since there are more absolute tv viewers and higher advertising revenues in melbourne. and there is virtually population difference in the tv catchment area
can you put that in english? each state will run different ads during a shows even if its on a national level! so it really doesn’t matter where its coming from
P.S there was a report in the newspaper the other day that seven will introduce a saturday moring bulluten that will run for 1 hour at 11am. It was suggested that it would be called 7/11 like the old show years back, also their is a chance that mike amor will be hosting!!! I think that bec would be a better option or Jana Wendt who is making her move to back to
channel 7*
the point is it would never cross the minds of 7news execs to have it based in melb. everything is out of sydney now! And it shows, you can tell that they are using a lot of syd stories etc.
apart from the 4.30 news on seven, TENs 11.30 news used to be made at atv10 with david johnston or jason cameron presenting. This was ’till 2000 when it moved to TEN10 sydney. Tracey Spicer now presents.
Funny you should mention Tracey spicer, she was just fired by Ten in an email because she is too old, that interview in on today tonight (28-11)
shes 39!!!!!!!!
I know! too old according to Ten News!
Sandra Sully’s 44!!!! And she s still on! And in Brisbane Marie-Louise Thilie is 56! The one thats married to an ASSHOLE!
Naomi RObson is 45, Sonia Kruger(dancing with the stars) is 44 and Jennifer Keyte who reads melb’s weekend 7news and Ann Sanders are both well into their 40s!
Ann Sanders is in her 50’s!!! but still the best national morning news reader! Mike is back on 4.30 news again, sams on holidays! come back SAM!!!
I think Mike is just filling in since sam would be doing weekends in sydney and they only let them work 5 days in a row so she’ll do mon-wed on the 430 and weekends in syd. It was the same when rebecca presented, she would also do summer weekends, and still does
so does that mean Ian Ross is on holidays? and Chris Bath is filling in for him on a thursday and friday? that would mean she is only doing two nights? and she didn’t do the national updates on friday night, mike did them.
Oh, and with the “only working 5 days thing”, that can’t be true poor Kyile Gillies has worked the early morning shifts on sunrise all week doing the News reader role while mel was away, then did sports presenter for seven news saturday night for sydney edition, weekend sunrise on sunday morning nationally and worked again later that night doing the sports presenter role on seven news sydney edition. She is Great !! thats some serious hours she has clocked up this week and some crappy hours !! hats off to her
Ann Sanders is sooooo good in presenting the morning news at 10.30, no matter how old she is, plus it’s good to see Mike Amor doing the 4.30 news again! I’ve missed him!
One thing consyantly bugging me, I can’t find it on any website, The ratings for not just the 6pm news, but also national bulletins like all morning, 4.30 , and late news. Can anybody help me?
yep! i know a great site ill get back to you
http://www.ebroadcast.com.au/eblah/b-tv/m-1160221524/ its got heaps of great stuff!! have fun
Thanks Stuart, been there done that, but no questions answered Thanks anyway
Ann is one of the best anchors on tv. Today (fri 15th dec) was her last day till late January. It seems I was right, Samantha Armytage was back on the 4.30 news yesterday.
Ann is tops! go seven they have the best reporters and presenters, nine is starting to fall behind, people like Bryan Henderson were great for nine, but as for Mark Furgerson…???
He’s great Stu!
No, he isn’t !!!!! Mark Furgerson is terrible!
Ian Ross is good too,Stuart, he has history and I like that. But when facts come to facts Mark just always beats Roscoe. One question Stuart, how do you know what’s happeneing in your home-town when you don’t watch WIN NEWS?
Oh,and I’m soon going to a WIN region 4 vacation- the Sunshine Coast. there r 2 bulletins-WIN NEWS & 7LOCALnews whose better?
I imagine the 7 would be better since 7QLD is a network station, unlike WIN, a 9 affiliate, so 7local news would have the full network resources and funding.
anybody have any pics of da 2 studios or know if either is in widescreen or not?
These are the top 20 programs for the period 10th December 2006 – 16th December 2006.

They show that nationaly more people watch Seven News (just) during the week than National Nine.
Sydney and Perth viewers watch Seven News more, and Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide viewers watch National Nine more.
The number 1 program for the week nationaly, however was the saturday edition of National Nine and 4th the sunday edition. Seven News saturday was 18th and sundays 10th.
So summing up, Seven News slightly has the lead nationaly during the week, and on the weekend National Nine is way out in front.
These are the official ratings from OzTAM…
well its called the canberra times, forget Win news , its just so crap!!! also their are Prime news update there what i watch , their the region affliate for 7
It it just me , or is it unfair that Mike Amor is hosting two national News shos a day. 10.30 mornings and 4.30?? what a joke, give one to another presenter, or give a reporter a breakthrough chance, like Ella Callen or Nick marshall-McCormick or Robert Ovadia someone !!!!!!
not to mention what about Jo Stone, Rebecca Maddern and Mia Greeves who recently defected from 9melb to 7 melb
Stu, Ann Sanders is on break, so Mike is the 1st rate fill in on the 10.30 morning news. Sam can’t present @ 4.30 cause she does Sydney weekends, so we get 2 doses of Mike !
Which is just stupid, because there a number of other people who could read the news besides him!!!
seven was a bit lazy on the 1st-1st-07 , they had only an hour of sunrise, no 10.30 news, no 4.30 news, and on top of this the 4.30 news on nine has returned to Canberra!!!!
does anyone know how old mike amor is??
I’d say late 30s early 40s Cassie
Who cares, his a shit brick!
Just learn to get along with it!
Bec was reading the news on weekend sunrise today, even she has learnt that if you want a good news job on seven you have to come to sydney to get it! she fits in really well on sunrise! She is the right sort of person for that type of show. Good to see her back on air nationally.
Rebecca presented the 4.30 news again today (2/4/2007) however it was from Sydney and I doubt it will be permanent. She was looking great and did a great job with her usual warmth and skill. Couple of weeks ago she hosted a 7news Melbourne special “Understanding Climate Change” it was on before the news one saturday. It was great. It is an extension of a series of public information ads for the Vic gov on saving water and energy.
Okay, everyone! I m finnaly giving in! 7news have so much better technology than NNN . Therefore im doing what stuart and nick did a long time ago; SWITCH TO 7NEWS there ssssssssssssssssssssssooooooooooooooooooo much better.
Im switchin also because 7news wins everywhere except melbourne. 7news have ssssssssssssoooooooooooo much better graphic s news sets and weather gs
Im switchin also because 7news wins everywhere except melbourne. 7news have ssssssssssssoooooooooooo much better graphic s news sets and weather gs i never thought id say it but i love 7 news
7 is starting to win in Melb on a regular basis. Some of the stories on NNN Melb lately have been fit for ACA. Trash.
Rebecca has been filling in for Anne Sanders on the Morning News this week, which is lovely, and while Samantha Armytage presents tt while Anna is away Rebecca is also doing the 4.30. From Sydney of coarse. She has been doing a great job, and looking great. However, as usual, the bulletins made at the Sydney news central are riddled with technical errors, a rariety at 7melb. Even during their 16hour live telethon there were few stuff ups
Yeah gotta love Bec, doin a Great job at the moment. From what i understand she has been working across the two states for about 8 days straight now. That is just showing that seven know she is versitile and can be placed in many roles. Seven news melbourne, 4.30 news, National Mornings, Sunrise, Weekend sunrise. the only national role left for her is updates and Today Tonight.
she is certainly showing her strengths. She did a great job on the easter weekend 7news, on the 12noon good friday appeal telethon news and then the sat and sun 6pm. I think the network has realised their folly. Hopefully they will reinstate her to the 4.30. maybe she will get a roll on their new 9am show. If they do put her back on the afternoon news, it should go back to melb cos the quality of the news and presentation was so much higher. in syd technical issues plague it and it can be so sydney centric. Maybe she will team up with naomi on her new show!
i wonder if the ratings have returned to their peaks experienced with rebecca in melb? they fell considerably with mike amor. I don’t think they are back to normal
