TV ONE is part of New Zealand’s largest free to air broadcaster TVNZ, which among other channels includes the previously mentioned TV2.
The first video is a 90 second brand spot for the network, while the second video is a 2008 season promo, both videos heavily feature Evermore’s track Light Surrounding You. The third video is a timelapse ident for the channel, and the last video is a promo for its netball coverage feature the song Dream Catch Me by Newton Faulkner.

Well, this puts ABC1 to shame. Very elegant.
Overseas viewers of this post may not know the brand spot includes several TV ONE personalities peppered throughout it, incluidng the main evening news anchors, breakfast and current affairs hosts, sports announcers and others.
Well here in NZ there was a lot of controversy surrounding these idents. Apparently the NZ Herald said it cost $300, 000 of the tax payers money for that. Most people have gotten over that now due to the fact it has the better programming then some channels. And this channel is getting better with the NZ Premiere of The Chaser’s War On Everything this Friday at 10pm on TV One, the ads for the show have been very discrete about what will actually be shown over here.

). They performed an outstanding acoustic version of ‘Light Surrounding You’ with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra as the final song of the 2007 NZ TV awards (and unfortunately, as far as I can search, that performance is not on You Tube, althoguh several acoustic ones are).

Actually the money for the ad campaign is all paid by TVNZ. No taxpayer money. TVNZ is fully self funded.
