I’ve been watching The Simpsons for more then 3/4 of my life, longer then i’ve had the internet, and its probably been a bigger influence on me then my parents combined, what more can I say.

  • Ahhh, the Simpsons. They do have a lot of explaining to do.

A goodly portion of my life has included the four fingered funnies. Though, Ten running them adnausium can be a tad annoying. The plus side is having friends over and seeing who can pick the episode first.

“Feeling stupid? I know I am.” Homer.

  • I too have been engrossed in the lives of the Simpsons for more years than I care to remember but lately (last 5-6 years) the quality has dropped so much I rarely watch the new episodes, instead enjoying the golden era (seasons 4-9) on FOX8. The show is no longer witty, instead it is driven by inane and silly situations, with equally as repitive dialogue. Given that in the last season and the one coming it appears to have had a mild recovery it is still not half as funny and clever as episodes such as Cape Fear, The PTA Disbands, Lisa’s Rival etc. I never understood why Futurama was cancelled (although recently back in prduction) and the simpsons, no matter how much I love it, has not been. At this stage it is a painfull insult to me to watch the recent seasons, it desicrates everyting I love about the Simpsons.

  • Like many other of our generation, I have spent way too much time enjoying The Simpsons, but it’s all for a good cause, isn’t it? It’s such a pity that Ten’s been repeating the same repeats over and over again for the past 5 years. I can’t remember who said it, but alternating between The Simpsons and Futurama repeats at 6pm would be a good move for Ten – less boring that way. My favourite episode of The Simpsons would probably have to be the one where they go to England for a holiday.
