..those three things are about the extent of my Swiss knowledge; we all know about the passport countrol and neutral stance Switzerland has taken, it turns out the countries latin name is Confœderatio Helvetica (which explains the .ch domain), and Carl Jung, who briefly had a crush on Freud was born there.

I’ve never been to the country, but its always interested me, and thanks to Christian I’m proud to be able to show you these beautiful idents, of what looks like a beautiful country from the Swiss public broadcaster SF. Its been a while since I liked a set of idents quite as much as these.

Speaking of anchors standing up

There’s been a lot of discussion about the whole newsreaders standing up issue (here, here and even Jeremy Clarkson got in on it). Well for a different perspective here is the opening sequence to “SF Tagesschau”, the Swiss public broadcasters nightly news.
