Communications Minister Helen Coonan today unveiled her media reform plan. Its not all good, and its going to be far from quick, but the one good thing that might come out of it is multichanneling, albeit in 4-5 years. The video is ABC’s coverage of todays announcement.

It looks like your digital television will be loke our digital television, Confusing and full of waste. And there’s the possiblity of “ITVism” as well.
why oh why can’t the government simply give the ABC lots of money and bandwidth – and let them create a fantastic range of channels – arts, drama, documentaries, kids, comedy etc???
Answer: The Government is blindly prejudiced against the ABC, so we wil never get TV as good as the UK.
