I was in a Rite-Aid today and took this picture, I don’t know why it seems so cool, I just love that Dove got Marge Simpsons (a cartoon character!) to sell their hair styling products.. she’s never looked better by the way. And I agree – she should do away with the beehive in favour of this. 😀 I just realised, Marge looks better with her hair down. 😀 Why can’t they do that on The Simpsons? They do after she’s been in the shower or if she’s really dressing up. Is it just me, or is it really hypocritical for a product that purports to promote “real beauty” (with a website called http://www.campaignforrealbeauty.com) to use cartoon characters who look nothing at all like real women, in its ads? Besides Marge Simpson, the ads use Wilma Flintstone and Jane Jetson—whose feet are the same size as their tiny hands, and whose waists are the same size as their necks! This could be why the campaign was very short-lived in Canada. Leave a Reply Cancel reply Your email address will not be published.
