Last month Channel 4 embraced the 3D television fad with a week of special programming, and some nifty on-air branding to go along with it.
Along with the 3D promos, a special 3D ident was also produced. Check out the rest of the Channel 4 idents here.

Excellent, but I have some pairs of 3-D glasses, but none of them are the ones needed to view the 3-D stuff here. Still, a step in the right direction.
I’m afraid to report that I watched most of their 3D content and it was very poor. This is still a gimmick I think.
4 of the pairs are green-magenta, one’s ChromaDepth, the rest is red-blue.
Yeah it was all pretty crappy. There was a shortage of glasses, loads of Sainsburys weren’t stocking them at all for some reason. The Derren Brown programme was crap, just a few new bits of footage and them some of the few pieces of 3D TV archive that they could find from America. It all rated really poorly as well. The Queen in 3D repeat on the Friday got them one the worst, if not the worst rating for Channel 4 ever. It only had about 200,000 viewers! The glasses rarely worked either!
