Lithuanian based motion design studio Korb have created this pair of beautifully crafted idents for MTVN HD in Poland. Globally, MTV have done some amazing on air presentation, from Latin America’s visual break to Australia’s local take on the brand.

And while the idea isn’t entirely original, the unique look and subtle execution of it all creates a powerful and thoughtful take on the otherwise ADHD brand that is MTV.

These idents are not for MTV Poland but for MTVNHD International which is available in Europe and Latin America. Thc channel is based in Poland.

This look doesn’t fit a channel that broadcasts trash reality. Also, did you notice that they’re still using the old Nickelodeon logo?

I have never seen reality shows on MTVN HD – I barely watch a few minutes a month, but from what I’ve seen and the EPG it’s mostly music, sometimes even worthwhile. Anyway – it’s far from the main MTV channels. It’s kindof visually “soft” for an HD channel, though.

Music? Enjoy it while it lasts.

I wonder how long it will take them to change MTVN HD’s format to “showcasing vomiting twenty-somethings who had too much too drink” like MTV did a few years ago. 😉

I’m sure I’ve seen some shows crediting MTV Argentina for graphic/set design as well as Poland. It’s by far the best MTV channel for people who actually want continuous music. There’s a very wide rage of idents that are often played in full. It’s pretty sharp looking on Sky HD in the UK 🙂 (They’ve updated the nick logo as well)
