But before I go.

I’m sure you’ve already seen this on YouTube, but now that its been used as the actual opener for this weeks new episode of the Simpsons (the Ricky Gervais episode), I thought I’d share it again in this context.

They cleaned it up for use in the episode by adding the ‘created by’ credits etc. I don’t think Sky could of could have imagined how well this would go.

  • Hey,

Sorry to hijack this posting, hope you dont mind -however…

I’m messaging from the UK and I’m trying to get hold of the Seven Sunrise Notebook bag- although they only deliver to Australia- not internationally. The product details are listed below.

I’m wondering if for a fee anyone would be able to purchse one on my behalf and post to London- a big ask, and you may wonder why I want it (!!). But for guaranteed delivery I’ll pay the price and packaging and bung in some money too- anyone interested then give me an email- Cheers, MATT MATTCOOKE100@HOTMAIL.COM

  • That opener was snazzy, personally. Now I can imagine the Simpsons start-up in a different way.

  • My God! John! How could you? Using “could of” instead of “could have” or “could’ve”? It’s off-topic, but I’m disappointed in you, especially since you’ve graduated, using incorrect English. I’ve a foul taste in my mouth now. Yuch.

Back on-topic, that was very well done and I congratulate Sky on their success with this.

  • One thing I have noticed about this modification is to see the scene with Marge and Maggie in the car are now reversed to the “American Way”.

Still can’t watch the Simpsons personally (think the best season I liked was it’s first, which I have been told NEVER got seen in Australia at all).

  • Here in the UK that same video is used as a promo for Sky One. The only difference is that it says “Come home to The Simpsons on Sky One”
