Actually this is the Christmas ident from the year 2000 with the new logo. At least they’re encouraging recycling!
Sorry to disappoint, BBC2 couldn’t be arsed to make a new Ident so they dug out the old 2000 christmas ident, though it’s a change from those yellow 2’s.
Just to let you know (and I think you already do), this was actually the 2000 Christmas ident from the 1991-2001 batch, just with the purple logo and an updated soundtrack.
