Every year on Australia Day Triple J have their Hottest 100. Its a countdown of the 100 best songs of the previous year, and is the worlds largest music poll. So in that tradition I have compiled a list of the 10 most downloaded idents from this site in 2005.
You can watch the countdown in the Top Gear inspired video above (warning: iMovie amateurism abound) or browse the list below the fold..
10 / ABC2 – Hello, Spring
9 / ABC – News Opener
8 / ITV1 – Blue
7 / Seven – News Opener
6 / Ten – News Opener
5 / BBC1 – Tumblers
4 / Nine – News Opener
3 / BBC1 – Dock
2 / Nine/Win – Still the One
1 / ABC – There’s more to television..
My favourite ident of 2005 was probably this one from SBS which I posted back in April.
Thanks everyone for continuing to visit and happy Australia Day, wherever you are.
Update: The song is “Munich” by Editors.
Another excellent song from them is Bullets.

Fantastic montage!
Fantastic! Well done!
Surely the Lost advert deserved an honourable mention! 😀
Fantastic! 😀
Excellent, really good site too
I finally got around to watching this, and I must say that you have done a marvellous job (the speeding up during the ‘There’s more to…’ ident didn’t quite work, though). Better than anything I can do, anyway.
Hey Jordan,
I know what you mean with the ‘The there’s more to..’ ident, I kind of just did it so the ident would finish at the same time as the song, but the speed up effect looks really out of place.
Nice work, and excellent choice of Editors for the music. I love them!
Nice work!
Who’s the performer of the background music?
The Australia TV from Sourthern NSW and ACT from Prime, WIN, NBN, Southern Cross TEN
