ITV relaunched their idents on Monday the 16th. The channels seperate themselves a lot better then before, and according to ITV, if each channel were a celebrity;

ITV1 would be Robbie Williams; youth channel ITV2 would be defined by Cameron Diaz; drama channel ITV3 by Sheila Hancock and men’s channel ITV4 by Daniel Craig.

ITV needed a new logo because the old one looked outdated, ITV2 and ITV3’s idents are very nice and suits it’s target audience, but ITV1 hmmm…. let’s just say it’s slightly better but a bit of a downer. 🙁

As it stands the ITV 1 ident set are OK – but no more than that.

The idents are OK, but the music on this ident was absolutely horrible. The first few seconds of the music sounded anywhere from a little girl crying for her mommy (mommy! mommy! mommy! oh!) to the distressful cry of a woman, depending on your imaginations. It was downright horrible. The music got better afterwards, but the first few seconds ruined this ident.

i think itv 1 new logo is better but however it’s is lose other companies. The greedy garanda have half of itv network be stolen. Ilive in london region i watch none on itv 1 becuase LWT and carlton are now merged and garanda take over my favorite broadcast. And what is point use itv 3 & 4 you don’t use even only boring movies provide this channel only . I like the old itv not new itv.

the folks over here never learn sbs changed now in brittania there all changing them bbc1 are soon. so get your act tog

I don’t know what you are complaining about….

TV channels rely on their viewer numbers. This means that with the viewers watching their channels continuously, the new changes would make the channel suitable for the new age of Digital TV (especially with the birth of HDTV ready for Wimbledon, here in Britain).

I think that ITV1, ITV2, ITV3 and ITV4 have superb logos – that’s the opinion that I have here on Premiere TV.

You’re free to contradict my nice comment about ITV’s channels, but you will only be fooling yourself.
