The HD channel doesn't need to have completely different content, just simulcast what is on Ten, and occasional content from One.

Ch 10's not saying this publicly but I bet one of the reasons to simulcast Sport on Ten HD as well as the 2nd Ten SD channel is to save money from having to pay for extra different content on the HD channel

still not sure why Ten can't just run "one" as a Standard Definition channel with selected programs in HD, just like they did with the normal Ten channel. Seems odd that they seem OK with the idea of alienating HD viewers of their regular mainstream programs so that a small portion of the audience can watch coverage like ten pin bowling from the US in high-definition. I wouldn't be surprised if Ten review this 'HD' strategy down the track once viewers find they can't watch their regular Ten shows in HD.

May look shiny and nice but this is anything but a 'revolution'. If removing a HD Version of the Network is a step forward is a revolution then please stop it now.
