Ahh, someone else who has spotted Jay Leno’s potential to present a Top Gear-type programme. Writes excellent pieces for the “In Gear” section of The Sunday Times now and then. Shares his passion for cars and passes on facts in an informed no-nonsense but amusing style – and without sounding like he’s bragging when he talks about the impressive list of vehicles he’s owned / driven.

The BBC would have to move the decimal point a fair bit to the left on his salary cheque to afford his services though!

It’s about time they did something up here.

Sure, the weather’s warm and the fans don’t really work that much (laughing at the example of Richard — “blowing hot air…”), but I want to see a bunch of Brits freeze!

Regarding Top Gear America, GOOD! It wouldn’t be the same because Top Gear has distinct humour and witty-ness. Regarding the Pole special, Fan-bloody-tastic! Can’t wait.
