The Chaser’s War on Everything airs Wednesday nights at 9pm on ABC1, Thursday nights at 8:30pm on ABC2, or you can watch it anytime on-demand through ABC iView, on-the-go through the official podcast, or you can even buy the new season as it airs on iTunes.

This is awesome! Thanks so much for the downloads; I was a little annoyed to see that they began cutting things out of the official vodcasts; I presume so people will have a reason to buy the official DVD at the end of the year. Having said that, I still will, because this is the best damn TV show on Australia at the moment, and I’ve been a chaser fan for a long time.

@ 3: Yeah, maybe, but why can they broadcast and sell DVDs which “infringe” on copyright? If they can’t make it freely available, I wouldn’t think they would be allowed (the chaser) to sell them.

The ABC’s decision to block outside Australian IP addresses is high wrong IMHO. As an aussie in England when I first saw the clips on youtube i found the ABC site great for showing me what I’m missing. Since then I’ve had family in Australia buy both volumes of Season 1 and send them over. With Season 2 on Vodcast we’ve been able to enjoy that great comedy which i think the English currently lack on terrestrial tv.
I hope the ABC reverse this decision, but in the mean time thank you very much for the links…

Thanks bro! I live in the States, and I’d been heartily enjoying The War for months now, and the ABC just enacted a policy under which the vodcast is no longer available here! You can’t get new episodes in the States from iTunes, or from the ABC’s website.

I am very disappointed at the ABC, either they have been victimised by the Economic Bullies or have joined them. They said they didn’t mind their content being shared etc. But now they do the reverse! As well as doing the second un-clever thing to podcasting by developing restricted feeds (the first was Ricky Gevies and his premium podcasting idea), something we have been fearing for a year.
I wonder what the chaser are thinking at the moment. And as for the companies who have been restricting previous content on the show’s episodes, hello, its satire!

Amendment:
To be honest, this season of The chaser’s has been faced with turblance, first it was the so called “copyright” woes which restricted their vodcast, then it was the concerns about Channel 7 and Channel 9 purchasing them, and now the ABC does this.
Maybe the Chaser should go independent from all three, and just vodcast the show their own way. The only other options for the show are that the ABC U-turns this absurd restriction, and focuses on distibauting the content worldwide to prevent similar problems; or it scraps the whole season in protest!
I am also concerned about Media watch and how it would effect them.

I am sooo glad i stumbled upon this site, as A) an Aussie who has been living in London for the past 6 months, and B) A massive fan of the boys work, i was absolutley shattered when 5 episodes in the feed to Itunes stopped working.
I thought i was all alone, i had no answers, and while i’m still buggered if i know why on earth this ridiculous decision has been made, the fact i can get the episodes here is ACE! Great work Champion!

The APEC stunt was cool but IMHO a bit too risky. The AFP has snipers all over the place – accidents do happen when the situation is unclear.

Quick question John, why is episode 23 320mb whereas the rest are all about 270-290… longer episode?
Either way, briliant, I missed the episode and the ABC podcast is dodgey on this computer, the mediawatch is fine, but the chaser one isn’t… no idea why, so I’m very glad there is an alternative, higher resolution too! Keep it up!

I think its pretty obvious that the overseas ‘restrictions’ are doing more harm than good, i am living in Australia and can download the vodcasts (and have been doing so since epp 4 of season 2 and the 06 epps) but with the number of posts above, surely the ABC are aware that other people outside of Australia are interested in them too.
I was annoyed when i found most of the episodes had bits cut out.

I started watching the Chasers when someone recommended the Vodcast, when ABC then stopped access to it from here in London I was gutted.
So I’m really pleased to have found these downloads, excellent quality and very funny.
I missed most of the first season and am not sure the DVD’s are available here in the UK on region 2.

I’m surprised to read all the talk recently about the ‘restricted’ vodcast. I live in London and have been able to download the official vodcast without issue lately. There was a short while where it was disabled for international IP’s but it’s been back for quite a while now.
Cheers for these HD H264 encoded vids though, the official vodcast uses such a low bitrate it is almost unwatchable.

fab – love these downloads, i’ve been a fan of Chaser since season 1, since I moved from Singapore to Canada haven’t quite been able to get my fix of Chaser as much! I did go to Australia lotssss so I managed to catch some on TV there but now that I’ve got these..
All I have to do is get season 1, and pray they change their minds about that stage show and come back to TV!

This site is great! I live in America and I love the show. It is hard to get the episodes off of the Chaser’s website because they oftentimes don’t allow people from other countries to download them. So thanks to you I am able to catch up on all of the episodes I missed.

I love the Chaser, but I can’t seem to save the videos. When I right-click on the video on the screen, it has ‘Save as Quicktime movie’ BUT it has a ‘PRO’ label next to it and won’t let me click it. Do I have to buy Quicktime Pro to save the video for my ipod, or is there a podcast URL i can use instead. I love this site now – the videos are in really high quality and doesn’t have a time delay on the sound like the ones i found on Google videos. I really want to download or podcast these videos – what can I do?

Thank you! I actually figured out that the best way was to right-click the link then click ’save link as…’ and it works perfectly. The quality of the videos are excellent, which is great as I never get to see the show on TV (I live in New Zealand). I searched the net for ages trying to find videos, but the best I could ever get were on Youtube or Google videos. But I still can’t find episodes of season 1, episode 13, 15, 16 and 17. If someone knows where I can find them can you please tell me? I don’t really care if the quality isn’t that good – I’ll put up with it.

Yay! You sir, are a gentleman and a scholar. The ABC have decided in their infinite wisdom to block the vodcast for series 3 to Aussie IP addresses only (’spose it’s no different from the Beeb).

It’s such a shame they have been suspended…the sketch wasn’t too bad until they said “Why bother when they are just going to die anyway”. But besides that the episode was quite good. I hope they haven’t lost too many viewers over it – they didn’t mean for it to be offensive and posted a really sincere apology video.
All I can hope is that they won’t get booted out indefinitely.
Tell me if you guys agree…all the other Chaser forums I go to are full of people complaining.

Yep. This season was supposed to run for ten; the suspension cut it to eight; and the team have said they wanted to pursue other Chaser projects, which is why the War’s ending next week.

You can get full episodes on google videos – there are a few eps i can’t find though. Here’s the link for Episode 1, Season 1:

The quality isn’t brilliant and there’s a slight time-delay, but they are the full episodes and you can download them.
To download (important):
- Once you have clicked on the episode from the list Google videos brings up, it will appear in a box to the right of the screen. It will probably be terrible quality too. (It becomes better quality)
- Click on ‘watch on video.google.com’ below this box
- This should come up with a bigger version of the video, still quite fuzzy
- To the right there should be a link saying ‘download video – iPod/PSP’
-Click this, and you are done!
I recommend you watch it on an iPod, or just make the video smaller when playing it back on your computer. That way, the quality of the video shouldn’t be too bad.

Generally the ones in the UK are different from the Aussie episodes, sometimes they just rearrange the clips instead of playing the full episode. As for what’s on here, The Chaser’s War On Everything has sadly ended for good
thankfully the The Chaser say they will be making a new type of show, so its not all bad!

I use a streaming program to stream the movies to my Xbox 360, but it uses the integrated media name instead of the file name, so I can’t tell which episode I’m playing. Is there any way to change this name?

note: Stupid me, I mean the metadata >.<, still can’t find a way to change it. I can “change” it in VLC, but then when I save the metadata and re-open the file, it hasn’t changed.
